CM 16 / AR Helmet
CM 16 is an AR smart helmet for industrial drone command designed for INVAP, specifically for their RUAS 160 drone. The embedded augmented reality system allows drone pilots to have an augmented information display of the flight through the AR window, while also containing audio speakers and microphone for an integrated wireless communication experience.
Problem /
Poor development of user experience and
communication equipment for the RUAS 160 pilots.
Goal /
Improve how the information is displayed to the user
and incorporate a smart communication system to link
to both the drone and technical base into a convenient
technology package.
Concept development.
The resulting CM 16 AR Helmet has an improved information display and smart communication system, delivering a convenient technology package specifically targeted to their drone, but compatible with most other drones on the market. The helmet’s safety features and comfort have been maintained while seamlessly incorporating the AR display and communication modules. INVAP’s identity is elevated into a sleek design that compliments with the high tech incorporated to create an innovative product.
